Washington left over $50 million in federal student financial aid unused. There are kids who decide not to go to college because they don’t have the funds and aren’t made aware of financial aid. In 2017, 11,000 graduates in Washington failed to fill out FASFA applications that would have allowed them to go to college tuition free. That is unacceptable. We as educators have to make sure that we make students aware of funds available for them to pursue college degrees.
