Drivers License requirement, possible deterrent for Black men?

When you apply for a paraeducator or teacher position with the Seattle School district, you may notice that one of the job requirements listed is a valid drivers license. For some Black men, this is not an issue at all, but for others this requirement listed on the job description may deter some Black men from applying for a position with the district.
You don’t need a valid license. You need valid identification. When trying to figure out ways to increase Black male representation in the classroom, something as small as this could possibly have huge consequences.
