Last night, we saw the best All-Star Game since the 2001 Eastern Conference comback led by Iverson

Kawhi Leonard wins the 2020 All-Star MVP; Renamed the Kobe Bryant All-Star MVP Award to honor the late great who always put on a show when he stepped onto the biggest stage, in the game featuring the games biggest stars.

Last night’s NBA All-Star game was exciting and the new format was a really dope concept. It was introduced to the league by veteran all-star guard Chris Paul. One of the changes included a $100,000 charity donation for every quarter won by Team Bron or Team Giannis.

Easily helping to make it the best All-Star game I have seen since 2001, which included Allen Iverson leading an eastern conference comback in the All-Star game.

2001 All-Star Game

This year’s All-Star game had the same vibe, with the highlight being a 4th quarter which saw the very best players in the world playing their hardest to help their teams reach 157 points first.

This is a huge improvement from last years All-Star game which saw Team Bron defeat Team Giannis 178-164 in a game where absolutely no defense was played.

I get it, it’s an exhibition game, but you still expect to see some level of competitiveness shown by the players. I’m glad the NBA implemented the new format because last night’s game was really fun to watch.
